The Naturalist team of MSOE is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world.

As one of our team of thirteen naturalists, you will teach public and private middle school classes about ecology, environmental stewardship, and creation care. Naturalists are provided housing in a Christian community in the redwoods, as well as most meals and a weekly wage.

The Naturalist position is a school-year position and provides housing from Mid-August to Mid-May. All Naturalists must have a B.A. or B.S. – Biology or Education fields preferred but not required.

We are currently seeking ​a Housekeeper to join our team! The primary responsibility of a Housekeeper is to support all aspects of cleaning camp facilities. 

Responsibilities:

• Sanitize and clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms
• Sanitize and clean common areas at camp
• Fold linens

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop or kneel
• Can move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Good interpersonal skills

We are currently seeking ​a Cook to join our team! Under the direction of the Food Service Manager, the primary responsibility of a Cook is to assist in the creation of meals for our patrons. 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the quality, timing, quantity, and temperature of food served. 
• Create a positive guest experience, which includes accommodating specific diet concerns
• Clean food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
• Communicate with management regarding ordering needs
• Adhere to weekly/monthly task schedules posted by the management
• May assist in supervision and training of food service personnel
• Act as liaison to front-of-house employees

• ServSafe certified
• At least 1-year experience working in a commercial kitchen

Position Summary:  A Mission Springs Guest Care Team Member is a dynamic position that impacts every aspect of the guest experience. The highest priority is the day-to-day care for guests and delivering high-quality hospitality.  This position works closely with the Director of Guest Groups to ensure guests are able to experience the mission of Mission Springs.   A successful Guest Care Team Member will form strong relationships with guest group leaders and help guest group programs run smoothly.  This includes but is not limited to coordination of retreat details, meeting room set-up, maintaining a clean and orderly facility, and general retreat support.

• Must have a relationship with and strong commitment to serve Jesus Christ.
• Must have the willingness to learn and have troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
• A flexible schedule and weekend availability are a must.
• Must be perceptive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
