Mission Springs Camps & Conference Center seeks to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all of our guests through exceptional retreat and camping experiences.

As a Mission Springs Staff member, you will be serving the guests that come each week to our Conference Center for family retreats, outdoor education, and church groups.

  • Outdoor Education: Naturalist

    The Naturalist team of MSOE is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world.

    As one of our team of thirteen naturalists, you will teach public and private middle school classes about ecology, environmental stewardship, and creation care. Naturalists are provided housing in a Christian community in the redwoods, as well as most meals and a weekly wage.

    The Naturalist position is a school-year position and provides housing from Mid-August to Mid-May. All Naturalists must have a B.A. or B.S. – Biology or Education fields preferred but not required.

  • Registered Nurse

    Mission Springs Outdoor Education is hiring a part-time nurse! 

    Join our dynamic team as we serve 5000+ students annually from the greater Bay Area.

     

    Responsibilities include:

    –       Collecting and organizing medical forms

    –       Dosing medications

    –       Consulting with school staff

    –       Administering first aid

    –       Assessing injuries and illnesses

     

    Requirements:

    –       RN Certification

    –       Current First Aid/CPR Certificate

     

    Status:

    • Part-time
    • $25.00 – 35.00 per hour

  • Director of Guest Groups

    The Mission Springs Director of Guest Groups assumes full responsibility, as delegated by the Associate Director of Mission Springs, for the administration and management of guest group retreats. This includes but is not limited to: selling, marketing, promoting, scheduling, contracting, budgeting, meeting financial goals, communication with retreat leaders, inter-departmental coordination, and management of the Guest Care Team.

    Status: Full time; non-exempt

    Pay Range:  $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

    Reports to: Associate Director of Mission Springs

    Qualifications:

    1. Strong commitment to serve Jesus Christ and commitment to advance the mission of Mission Springs
    2. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years related experience.
    3. Proficient technology skills
    4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
    5. Strategic planning, scheduling and budget minded
    6. Demonstrated leadership abilities
    7. Must be perceptive, flexible, and a self-starter
    8. Possess a valid CA driver’s license and provide reliable personal transportation to/from work

     

     

    General Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for the administration of all aspects of securing both new and returning guest groups including: marketing, selling, strategizing the calendar, contracting, communication with guests, securing payments.
    2. Strategize, maintain, and meet a yearly budget and department goals including monthly reports.
    3. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of all guest group retreats.
    4. Provide a consistent atmosphere of support, encouragement, accountability, and leadership for the Guest Care Team.
    5. Sustainability manage expenses while strategizing purchases to meet guest group needs.
    6. Ensure inter-departmental coordination to successfully meet or exceed guest group experiences.
    7. Strive to always find ways to improve guest group experiences.
    8. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
    9. Foster harmonious relations with the Pacific Southwest Conference.
    10. Willingness to serve in any capacity needed.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

    1. Environment: Indoor and outdoor
    2. Work Hours: Flexible hours as needed to ensure Guest Groups are well cared for including weekdays and weekends
    3. Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting and using a keyboard and screen; moderate physical activity including walking, stooping, bending, reaching and carrying objects up to 60 lbs.
