Mission Springs Camps & Conference Center seeks to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all of our guests through exceptional retreat and camping experiences.

As a Mission Springs Staff member, you will be serving the guests who come each week to our Conference Center for family retreats, outdoor education, and church groups.

  • Director of Guest Groups

    Job Title: Director of Guest Groups

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the administration and management of guest group retreats. This includes but is not limited to: selling, marketing, promoting, scheduling, contracting, budgeting, meeting financial goals, communication with retreat leaders, inter-departmental coordination, and management of the Guest Care Team, including an Associate Director of Guest Groups.

    Status: Exempt / Full-time

    Benefits:

    Comprehensive insurance, paid time off, and all benefits as outlined in the employee handbook

    Pay Range: $71,000 – $81,000

    Reports to: Associate Director of Mission Springs

    Qualifications:

    • Strong commitment to serve Jesus Christ and advance the mission of Mission Springs
    • LiveScan background check and Driver’s License required
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
    • BS degree in related field or high, and/or minimum 5 years related experience
    • Flexible schedule with ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Proficient with budgeting expenses
    • Committed to the mission and vision of Mission Springs
    • Willingness to serve in any capacity needed

    General Responsibilities:

    • Provide a consistent atmosphere of support, accountability, and leadership for the Guest Care Team
    • Strategize, maintain, and meet yearly budget and department goals, including monthly reports
    • Responsible for the contracting, planning, and implementation of all guest group retreats
    • Ensure inter-departmental coordination to successfully meet or exceed guest group experiences
    • Continually seeking to grow and improve all aspects of Guest Groups
    • Foster harmonious relations with the Pacific Southwest Conference

    Physical Requirements:

    • Environment: indoors and outdoors
    • Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Flexible days and hours as needed to ensure guests are well cared for, including weekdays and weekends
    • Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting and using a keyboard and screen; moderate physical activity including walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and carrying objects up to 60 pounds
  • Outdoor Education: Naturalist

    The Naturalist team of MSOE is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world.

    As one of our team of thirteen naturalists, you will teach public and private middle school classes about ecology, environmental stewardship, and creation care. Naturalists are provided housing in a Christian community in the redwoods, as well as most meals and a weekly wage.

    The Naturalist position is a school-year position and provides housing from Mid-August to Mid-May. All Naturalists must have a B.A. or B.S. – Biology or Education fields preferred but not required.

  • Housekeeping Team Member

    Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Team Member is to ensure guest rooms and restrooms are clean and comfortable while following safety protocols.    

    Status: Part-Time or Full-Time; hourly 

    Benefits: Entitled to benefits as outlined in handbook 

    Pay: $17.00-20.00 per hour 

    Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor 

     

    Qualifications:  

    • Must have a willingness to learn 
    • LiveScan background check and Driver’s License required 
    • Flexible schedule – Weekend availability is a must 
    • Must be perceptive, flexible, detail-oriented, and a self-starter  
    • Places the safety of self and others as a top priority   
    • Good interpersonal skills and a team player 
    • Willingness to serve in any capacity needed  

    General Responsibilities:  

    • Complete daily housekeeping tasks including cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces 
    • Sanitize and clean bathrooms including at Frontier Ranch, Conference Center, and the pool 
    • Wash, fold, and organize linens  
    • Attend all staff meetings  
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor 
    • Contribute in a positive manner to the team culture of Mission Springs 

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

    • Environment: outdoors and indoors  
    • Work Hours:  variety; Monday – Sunday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm  
    • Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extended periods (up to a full shift) and lifting objects up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. 
  • Food Service Team Member

    Position Summary: A Mission Springs Food Service Team Member works in a fun and dynamic environment. They enjoy great perks, including meals. They focus on creating a positive guest experience and contribute to the preparation and setup of meals. Additionally, they ensure food preparation areas are cleaned according to legal and company standards. Effective communication with management regarding ordering needs is essential, and Team Members adhere to the task schedules posted by management on a weekly or monthly basis.

    Qualifications:

    • Willingness to get ServSafe certified
    • 1+ years of applicable experience preferred
    • Weekend availability required

    Job Type: Part-Time

    Pay: $17:00-$22:00 based on experience

    Hours: 15-28 per week

  • Guest Care Team Member

    Job Title: Guest Care Team Member

    Position Summary:

    This position’s main responsibility is hosting weekend Guest Groups. Hosts provide great customer service to our Guest Groups, ensuring their needs are met, including cleaning and setting up meeting rooms.

    Status: Part-time; hourly

    Benefits: Entitled to benefits as outlined in the employee handbook

    Pay: $17.00-20.00

    Reports to: Director of Guest Groups

    Qualifications:

    1. Outstanding customer service, friendly, and skilled.

    2. Willingness to learn and be a self-starter.

    3. Places the safety of self and others as a top priority.

    4. Flexible schedule – including weekends.

    5. Ability to prioritize and multitask.

    6. Good interpersonal skills and a team player.

    7. Willingness to serve in any capacity needed.

    General Responsibilities:

    1. Setting up and cleaning meeting rooms prior to guest arrival

    2. Friendly customer service while hosting guest groups

    3. Interdepartmental coordination as needed

    4. Basic maintenance as needed to meet guest needs (unclog toilet, etc.)

    5 . Cleaning meeting rooms after guests’ departure

    2. Work Hours: variety; Monday – Sunday; 7:00 am – 11:00 pm

    3. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, or kneel. Can move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 60 pounds.
