  • Maintenance Team Member

    We are currently seeking ​a Maintenance Team Member to join our team! Under the direction of the Site and Facility Director, the primary responsibility of a Maintenance Team Member is to assist the maintenance department at the conference center and camp facilities in performing day-to-day general maintenance and preventive maintenance. 

    Qualifications:

    • Experience working in the area of maintenance, including an understanding and working knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance-related functions.  
    • Computer and service information systems experience.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Perceptive, flexible, and a self-starter.
    • Professional organizational & planning skills.
    • Willing to obtain certification training that relates to job duties as directed by the Site and Facility Director.

  • Outdoor Education: Naturalist

    Mission Springs Outdoor Education serves both public and private Christian schools in Northern and Central California. Our classes focus on redwood and stream ecology, team building, environmental stewardship (including solar energy and organic gardening), astronomy, and marine field trips for 4-6 grade students.

    We are looking for recent college graduates in the science and/or education field who are interested in sharing their love of God’s creation with students. As a Naturalist, you will gain experience in outdoor education and youth ministry as you teach students in an outdoor classroom. Naturalists earn a weekly wage and are provided with housing and most meals on site.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead hands-on outdoor science classes on the trails that weave through our redwood forest habitat. Some classes occur in the evenings.
    • Introduce children to God’s creation and teach them to be good stewards of natural resources.
    • Complete daily tasks to help the program run smoothly, including meal lineups, recess duties, and office tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • B.A. or B.S. required; Biology (or related science field) or Elementary Education preferred
    • Current CPR/First Aid certification
    • Proven ability to be a positive Christian role model for children
    • Teaching experience & bilingual are a plus.
    • Desire to live in a Christian Community.

  • Staff Accountant/ Full-Service Bookkeeper

    We are currently seeking ​a Staff Accountant/Full-Service Bookkeeper to join our team! This position reports to the Director of Business and Finance and their core responsibilities are to oversee all things accounting at Mission Springs.

    • Resource and support the company’s strategic plans.
    • Monitor the financial performance of the organization.
    • Ensure Not-for-profit accounting is in accordance with (GAAP).
    • Prepare and analyze financial reporting to Mission Springs Board and Staff.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow, and budgets to the Executive team.
    • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with Mission Springs procedures.
    • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable (including all donations) and accounts payable areas.
    • Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
    • Manage HR administrative processes (Fringe benefits funding- process funding of employer authorized 403B Plan for applicable staff on monthly basis. Maintain all master personnel files- complete with all required forms for all staff.  Process worker’s compensation claims as they occur.  Also Coordinate the annual audit with the worker’s compensation insurance carrier to meet information requirements.)
    • Manage Leaseholder assessment billing – Create semi-annual bills for leaseholder community and process payments received. Provide account statements as needed.
    • Manage Property taxes- responsible for processing semi-annual property tax payments including payment delivery within prescribed deadlines to governmental agencies.
    • Includes annual welfare exception filings.
    • Administrate Property and Casualty insurance maintenance tasks- provide periodic information to insurance carriers regarding the organizations’ vehicles. Process camper insurance-related claims to the insurance carrier as necessary.
    • Prepare Sales and Use tax returns.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
    • Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
    • Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
    • Human Resources experience a plus
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Ability to work closely with a senior management team

  • Food Service Manager

    We are currently seeking ​a Food Service Manager to join our team! The Food Service Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee the complete administration of the foodservice operations at Mission Springs Conference Center and Youth Camps.

    Responsibilities:

    • Management of food service personnel 
    • Equipment and facility care 
    • Maintaining regulatory requirements and certifications 
    • Providing quality dining experiences and customer care 

    Qualifications:

    • BS degree in related field
    • Minimum 5 years experience in food service management, including a nonprofit/camp environment
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented
