One Covenant Community Launch

One Covenant Community Launch

We are excited to share that Mission Springs has joined One Covenant Community, a major five-year initiative funded through the Lilly Endowment’s Pathways for Tomorrow initiative and led by North Park Theological Seminary. This project represents an unprecedented partnership across the entire Covenant family, bringing together regional conferences, Covenant camps, educational affiliates, denominational offices, and the Association of Covenant Spiritual Directors.

The purpose of One Covenant Community is to strengthen the entire ecosystem of pastoral leadership within the ECC—from vocational call, to theological education, to credentialing, to lifelong support. Together, our shared goal is to cultivate a thriving pipeline of healthy, well-equipped pastors and lay leaders for Covenant congregations.

What this means for Mission Springs:

  • More coordinated and accessible discernment resources for youth and emerging leaders.
  • Strengthened pathways into ministry, including new undergraduate-to-seminary bridges.
  • Expanded and centralized continuing education to support pastors and lay leaders.
  • Increased institutional support through nonprofit leadership and fundraising training.
  • A healthier, more sustainable pool of pastors ready to serve our churches.

This collaboration is a hopeful and timely investment in the future of Mission Springs, strengthening our ability to nurture leaders who serve with resilience, theological depth, and Covenant identity.

We invite you to stay connected, pray for the work ahead, and celebrate this important step toward a stronger ecosystem of leadership across the ECC.
