Statement on Current Health Concerns

Statement on Current Health Concerns

Updated: March 25, 2020

No significant changes have occurred the past week at camp.  We are still abiding by the Shelter in Place Order.  Several emails have gone out telling how people can help Mission Springs during this time.  Prayer and Giving are two big ways you can help.  Learn more about how you can help here.  Stay tuned for more updates as they are available.

If you have further questions please feel free to contact the staff member directly you are working with via email, as this is the best way to communicate right now with the “Shelter in Place Order”.  You can find their emails on our Staff Page.  Or if you are unsure, here is our general mail box: info@missionsprings.com .  Please be patient in the response time, as staffing has been impacted by the closure.

Update: March 17, 2020

In response to the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency “Shelter in Place Order” on March 16, 2020, Mission Springs Camp and Conference Center has suspended all activities.  “This order is effective on March 17, 2020 and will continue to be in effect until April 7 or until it is extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended in writing by the Health Officer.”

Discontinuing our guest group program offerings for this period is in alignment with the county order designed to limit the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

Although these measures will cause disruption to the experiences of our guests, they are intended to interrupt and slow the spread of the virus and protect overall community health. By limiting opportunities for transmission, we can slow its spread. Each of us must do our part to protect our older citizens and vulnerable individuals at risk of serious outcomes should they be exposed.

We will offer a full refund of all conference fees, including deposits, for events cancelled during this period. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions regarding refunds or rescheduling of your event. Rest assured, we are monitoring this developing situation closely, staying in regular contact with local and federal agencies, health organizations, and other experts.

Mission Springs is planning on resuming normal operations on April 8, 2020 (if the all clear has been issued by the authorities).  Thank you for your patience and trust in Mission Springs and we look forward to serving you.
