Outdoor Education Week
Teachers: $0
Chaperones: $150
Students: $245

Most of our schools choose this full week option, with 7 outdoor classes, 2 campfires, a night hike, and an optional marine science field trip on Friday.  Our classes include plant and animal studies, garden exploration, stream ecology, solar energy, and the climbing tower. The majority of our schools choose to go to the Santa Cruz Wharf or Natural Bridges State Beach for their Friday field trip.  Also included in the week are 12 meals, 4 snacks, and 4 nights lodging.

(Note: Shorter programs at the conference center are only offered on weeks with a holiday or during the winter months.  Please contact us for details.)

Ocean Week
San Lorenzo Rivermouth
Teachers: $0
Chaperones: $150*
Students: $245*

This option combines the best of the marine science field trips in the Monterey Bay area with our stream studies class here at Mission Springs.  Possible field trip sites include Natural Bridges State Beach, Santa Cruz Wharf, Seabright Beach, and the Seymour Discovery Center.  Lodging is provided at the Conference Center.  Schools must provide all student transportation.  Some field trip sites require schools to make reservations months in advance, and all entrance fees are paid for by the participating school.  We recommend Ocean Weeks to teachers who bring combined grade classes every year and wish to alternate between our regular program and a marine science experience.  Ocean Week availability is limited in October and May.
