12 to 14 weeks of employmentMany positions are needed from June 1 to September 1. Conflicting school schedules can be accommodated in some cases. Mission Springs is a full-service conference retreat center for groups from 12 to 300. We serve church groups from all over California during the summer. Most retreat groups are family camps that come to Mission Springs to be refreshed, renewed, and to grow spiritually. We are committed to providing our guests with exceptional comfort and care. In doing so we want to make the strongest positive impression possible regarding our guests' experience at Mission Springs. Our job is to serve. GUEST SERVICES/OFFICE ASSISTANT: Position filled.(1 Position) Greet customers, interact with and aid retreat leaders and guests, answer phones, sort mail, handle money, and provide office support. Must be a well organized and mature team player. Must have pleasant and calm personality, computer skills, and be able to multi-task.
GUEST SERVICES/HOST: Positions filled.(2 Positions) Set up meeting rooms, interact with and aid retreat leaders and guests. Some cleaning and light maintenance required. Knowledge of AV equipment helpful. Must be mature, friendly, calm, reliable, and physically strong (able to lift 50 lbs.).
PROGRAM OFFICE ASSISTANT: Position has been filled.(1 Position) Provide assistance to Camp in all aspects of camper registrations. Must be detailed orientated & able to multi-task, have strong computer and organizational skills, as well be able to answer parent questions about camp. Responsibilities will include: inputting camper registrations, filing, weekly camper cabin assignments, running & distributing reports, updating camper numbers, calling parents to remind them of balances due. Be responsible for keeping inventory of camp t-shirts. Help youth camp administrative assistant with various tasks. Prepare reports for and work Sunday Check-in at Frontier Ranch.
SENIOR LIFEGUARD: Position filled.(1 position) Train, coordinate, supervise, schedule, and care for the lifeguard team. Must be a "people person" who enjoys interacting with guests. Provide a safe, clean, and hospitable pool environment. Maintain the facilities, equipment, and water quality. (Current Lifeguard Training Certificate, Standard First Aid, Adult CPR required, WSI a plus)
LIFEGUARD: Positions filled.(3 positions) Provide a safe atmosphere in and around the pool. Maintain and clean the pool, deck area, and locker rooms. Must have a warm personality that makes people feel welcome at the pool. (Current Lifeguard Training Certificate, Standard First Aid, Adult CPR required.)
FOOD SERVICE STAFF: Positions filled.(12 positions - 17 to 21 years old desired) Provide service ministry by serving guests in the dining room. Duties include setting and clearing tables and assisting with basic meal preparations. Servers must have a pleasant personality and a willingness to work hard while having fun serving our guests with a focus on glorifying God in all you do. You could also pick up some great cooking tips!
SNACK BAR / GIFT SHOP: Positions filled.(5 POSITIONS) Applicants will be working in the four areas of retail at the camp. They include the swimming pool snack bar, Solid Rock Café at the Conference Center, The Treasured Gift, and Frontier Ranch stores. Responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and attractiveness of facilities, selling and restocking of inventory. Must enjoy cheerfully serving our guests. Retail and cash register experience helpful. Looking for staff that enjoys working as a team, and willing to make the extra effort. These positions can be fast paced a times and include working some mornings and evening.
HOUSEKEEPERS: Positions filled.(3 positions) Clean and set up lodging rooms, sanitize restrooms, and lead cleaning crews during weekly changeovers.
MAINTENANCE: Positions filled.(2 positions) Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record. Responsible to clean and maintain buildings and grounds, and help with maintenance projects. Must be able to take initiative, work hard, and be self-motivated. Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and power equipment operation desired. |
